Greatest glory

“Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.” – Confucius.

There is no shame in falling, we all trip sometimes. Getting back up is key. There’s no better feeling than being down and out, then picking yourself back up. If you make it through failure, your success will be even more satisfying. Don’t allow yourself to be bogged down when you get tripped up, it’ll just begin to snowball.

This is something you need to remind yourself of every day to get it to sink in. It’s taken me forever. I’ve gone through packs of Post-it notes placing reminders for myself all over my apartment. To remind me to get back up. If that’s what works for you, do it. We all need to be reminded that we can get back up after falling.

Think about how you react when you have fallen.

Have you fallen recently?

Have you gotten back up? Why/why not?

How did it affect your frame of mind?

How did it feel to rise after falling?

How could you have dealt better with the situation?
